Sheree reached out for a family photoshoot near her hotel, which was conveniently located close to Double Six Beach, Seminyak. After checking the tide schedule, I found the tide would be low at sunset, making it a perfect time for a beautiful session.
Double Six Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Seminyak, known for its wide sandy shore and lively atmosphere. However, not every time of day is ideal for photography here. This location works best during sunrise or sunset, and especially during low tide. When the tide is low, the beach opens up beautifully, creating more space and allowing the black sand to reflect the people standing on its wet surface. This natural reflection adds depth and a soft artistic touch to the photos, especially under the warm sunset light.
To be honest, Double Six Beach is not my favorite location for photography because it can get very crowded, and during high tide the space becomes narrow and busy. Still, when the timing and tide are right, it can turn into a beautiful spot for family portraits. With the right conditions, Double Six Beach offers lovely light, soft reflections, and that special Bali atmosphere — making it worth a visit with your Bali family photographer.
