Every family has a story worth capturing, and this one beautifully unfolded on the shores of Seminyak, Bali. Andy reached out for a family photoshoot during their vacation and suggested doing it right on the beach in front of Alila Seminyak. I couldn’t agree more, it’s one of my favorite locations, especially when the tide is low and the sunset paints the sky in warm golden hues.
As a Bali Family Photographer, I always strive to blend emotion with atmosphere. For this session, I recommended adding a lighting assistant to enhance the sunset glow and create more depth in the portraits. Andy happily agreed, giving us the chance to explore both natural light and creative flash work in one session.
The results were magical, candid laughter, playful splashes, and warm embraces, all framed by the glowing horizon. These images perfectly show the contrast between soft natural light and artistic lighting, both adding their own character to the family’s story.
